Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is still one of the more awesome video game experiences from the past decade, with its heartpounding action and cinematic storyline, it was a no-brainer to turn this game into a movie. A few years back Disney bought the rights, and mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer jumped onboard along with director Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton. Well, the trailer for the much anticipated blockbuster has hit. Check it out:
I've actually been anticipating this film for some time. While certain fans complained about the casting of Jake Gyllenhaal to play an Arabian prince, I've seen this type of casting too many times before for it to really bother me. I think the film looks extremely fun and entertaining. Even if you aren't a fan of the more human aspects of this trailer, you can't deny that the film looks like a one of a kind action movie experience. Personally, I'm excited for this and can't wait to sit in a theater and see it when it hits May 28th of next year.
